Young People Camp and Pre-Teen and Teen Camp

The Children’s Acting Academy invites young performers to take part in its Summer Intensive Theater Program, an introduction to the professional theater world. Professional guest artists lead classes in acting, improvisation, movement, voice-overs, wardrobe, makeup and hair, TV, auditioning techniques, stage combat, singing, dancing and more. Meetings with "the pros" in theater, broadcasting, TV and film provide the students with real life, hands-on experience in the performing arts.

The camp is divided into two groups: Young People (ages 4-8), and Pre-Teen and Teen Actor Training Program. Both groups receive the same training, but the younger group also participates in arts and crafts pertaining to that week’s theme, trips to children’s theater shows, plus weekly open classroom recitals.

Enrollment is limited, and admission for new students is by interview only. To arrange an audition/interview, please call (212)860-7101. Register now for camp. Campers may choose 1 - 7 weeks. Fall classes start in September, running Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school, and Saturdays. Registration now open.

Television - Sitcom/Commercials. On camera playbacks
Improvisation - Study with the "pros"
Musical Theatre - Singing
Voice-Overs - Animated series, commercials, character & straight voices
Business End of Show Biz - Stylist, color specialist, hair, make-up, wardrobe. Pics/Resumes. Interview & Audition Skills.
Agents, Managers, and Casting Directors - Final week: daily seminars and auditions

***Professional Voice-Over Artist
***Professional Color and Style Workshop. Make-up, and Hair Style workshop
***Professional on and off camera audition skills taught
***Professional Broadway singing coach
***Professional Broadway dancer

Enrollment is limited. Therefore, admission for new students is by interview only with a one-time placement/evaluation fee of $75. To arrange an audition/interview, please call (212) 860-7101. Please bring a snapshot or school picture to your interview for our registration file.

$2,500 for Seven Weeks of Fun (includes healthy snack) or Choose Your Weeks at $400/week.
